My research bridges the academic, policy, and political worlds. I design and execute accessible research to create compelling, fact-based communications, and to support evidence-based decision-making, build positive relationships, and facilitate collaboration.
Check out this research by watching our presentation to the Institute for Future Legislators for the UBC Centre for Democracy and Ryerson Faculty of Arts. You can see some of our preliminary findings and some of the other exciting research by looking at the Digital Ecosystems Research Challenge Report.
From 2016 to 2018, I worked as the lead researcher on a $1million Status of Women Canada grant to identify and pursue systemic change in 8 provincial, federal, and territorial legislatures in Canada to address barriers and improve women’s political representation. My research has also supported smaller not-for-profits, including the PEI Coalition for Women in Government, WAVAW, West Coast LEAF, EVA BC, and Media Smarts.
I have a PhD in Political Science (2016) from the University of British Columbia, and a Master’s of Gender and Social Policy (2011) from the London School of Economics.
